UNIVERSAL BANKER

Department:  Retail Branches

Reports to:  Branch Manager

Summary:  Provide a variety of customer transactions, as well as process customer requests.

Branch location:  2601 Michigan Street, Sidney, OH 45365

Average hours/week:  Approx. 40 hours

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills.
  • Basic clerical skills including working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to proactively solicit new business.
  • New Accounts and IRA experience preferred.
  • Physical requirement:  May be required to stand for periods of time and may be required to lift bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Process customer financial transactions.
  • Assist with customer inquiries.
  • Maintain knowledge of teller policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and balance cash drawer.
  • Open and maintain deposit accounts including IRAs.
  • Take consumer loan applications.
  • Promote and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio through Sales Management.
  • Achieve and maintain 80% of individual sales goal.
  • Participate in community involvement.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

LOAN ORIGINATOR, TROY

Department:  Retail Lending Department

Reports to:  Sr. Vice President/Retail Lending

Summary:  Generate mortgage loan application referrals through business development calls on builders, realtors, CPA’s, etc. Originate mortgage loan applications from potential home buyers or those who desire to refinance the current mortgage, as well as, applications for HELOC’s, second mortgages, car loans, secured loans and unsecured loans.

Location:  1867 W. Main Street, Troy, OH

Average Hours/Week:  40 hours

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or related experience.
  • Two to four years’ experience in a financial institution or loan office with loan origination experience
  • Extensive knowledge of bank policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Good sales, organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with documentation that requires special or confidential handling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand a personal tax return/personal financial statement
  • An understanding of mortgage lending/secondary market lending

Essential responsibilities:

  • Counsel residential mortgage applicants on their needs and assist them in selecting the best products to meet their needs.
  • Review 1st and 2nd mortgage applications for processing, credit reports and other information needed on loan applications, following TRID and verifying compliance.
  • Review and analyze income information and follow guidelines/procedures.
  • Follow through on applications in process and facilitate timely closings.
  • Provide referral sources with up-to-date information on any new mortgage products or changes to pre-existing policies and products.
  • Cross sell other bank services.
  • Handle inquiries from applicants and branch personnel. Resolve/document customer complaints.
  • Service needs to existing customers.
  • Make suggestions to the Retail Lending Department Manager on what realtors/customers are requesting in our market area.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
